Well, editing don't mean nothing. I'm always punching it up before I finished what I was saying. Or find spell errors. My brain races way faster than my 2 finger typing. Sometimes a chunk in the sentence is even missing. My brain said it but my fingers weren't fast enough. And he had my respect till he flushed it down the comode. It's all on him. He dumped on me and I dumped it right back.Last edited by stts; 01-26-2023, 08:54 AM.

LOL that's the edited version?
There are 2 ways to get respect. Earn it, and Give it

@stts
I presumed you had a bike, mebbe newer to the game, possibly living in cold climate (riding season here is pretty much opposite most the US and I got no idea where you hang your hat) or for whatever reason not riding much
My time on the forum is pretty much a routine - I drive or ride down to my shop in the morning, brew my tea, read the news and then before I get down to business catch up on a few of the latest posts here and on the other six or eight forums I'm active on (what I'm doing now)... if I catch some small idle time during the day - I'm silly busy for an disabled old guy - will poke my nose in... but that's it and I really have way too many other things to keep track of anybody or their stuff and this is just one forum in my world - don't expect me to know what anyone else is doing
I got no idea why you feel so disrespected - I suppose either I'm too insensitive or you are too sensitive but it's beyond me and I'm not going to waste more than two neurons on it
I sure am happy I don't have that kind of hostility and anger inside me - not healthy and I'm way too old for that.. sure brings a lot of toxicity to the forum tho.. shame too since it won't help the board dynamics at all IMO.. good luck with that..

Well I'm glad you get respect. I got shit on and I have never laid down for that crap. I have never made a personal attack on him or his kludge, public or private. But those gloves are off now. Hes a damn liar to say he knew nothing about nothing. You don't ask a question like that in open forum unless you intend to pick a fight. And I'm good at fighting. He talks about him tired of me being wrong? Who the hell made him lord over me? That idiot is a pimple compared to me. I deal with the problems many times harder than he even bothers with. The nerve of that ass just trying to get in my way. I don't talk about the crap he screws up, and I don't keep score. But it's now clear that I got a troll following me around. So my gears are shifted to deal with it.

FWIW AZ and I disagree about damned near everything having to do with Ebike setup. It's actually become a running gag here. But we treat each other with respect. Someone will ask a question, and almost always get 2 good opinions based on experience.

AZguy - Since you need an education, I have not built a single eBike in my life, I have not repaired a single Ebike in my life, and I have not riden a single eBike mile in my life. So now you are more educated. Now you can venture forth into the world a better man than you were before my post. Or maybe not. hah.Last edited by stts; 01-25-2023, 09:04 PM.

@stts
Mmmmkay - personally I don't get worked up over posts on an internet forum and sure as heck don't go into full flame mode even on the forums that are far, far less generally civil than here
I have no idea about your bike(s), I barely keep track of my own and pretty much only barely know about a couple of other old school frequent posters here (e.g. Retrorockit, ncmired ) and barely know that much about their rides - although I presume they ride a lot too - I know Rertro does a lot and he's down in FLA and that his riding is very different than mine (more street oriented). Other than that I just don't think about it...
I just pop in here when I've got a few moments but I have a ton of stuff going on in my world... this forum and the numerous other forums I participate in are such a tiny fraction of my attention. I barely know what got posted yesterday!
It was a fair question based on the information that is either a bit off from conventional wisdom or just plain wrong (e.g. BBSxx troubleshooting tips for sur-ron which is an entirely different animal and so those tips are just going to waste someone's time at best) that I've seen the last couple of days and so was wondering where it was coming from.
Have fun..

AZguy "Since some of the posts don't really jive with the experience of many of the other electric bike owners here and elsewhere - out of curiosity, and no offense meant, how many miles/hours on electric bikes do you have? How many have you built, owned or ridden? Worked on?"
Say what? What the hell kind of post is that? "out of curiosity, and no offense meant"
Do you want me to believe that you live under a rock??? That you have no idea at all where my build is at??? And that you really mean no offense in your post???
Buddy your a shit head and you mean every insult intent. So Kiss my ass. And eat my shit. Because you probably look worse than that stupid pic of yours. What an asshole you are. Does that make your day???

I feel like real time voltage is really confusing at first, since it jumps all over so much depending on the load; but if we watch it over the course of several rides it becomes a really useful tool to watch the condition of the whole system. At work we call this “trending the data” and it can give a whole lot of insight into the condition of the motor and the battery. Like how low does full load on the motor drag the voltage down, how fast it rebounds when load is removed, I bet you could even cipher out the relative temperature of the battery mid-ride if you really got to understand what you’re looking at! All that sweet, beautiful data…
