48v battery switching off at 50v

My 48v 25ah lipo battery switches of at 50v even if only a bulb is plugged in. This has occurred on last two rides at around 20klm but ride before that was 40klm with no problem. The battery has done around 15,000 klm on hilly roads with no hickup.

BMS issue I think. Took it out again yesterday and while powering up hill it went dead at 50v. I put some charge into it and trickle drained it and next morning read 49.9v bit if shorted terminals with fingers voltage dropped way down.
Suppose I'll rip it apart and find BMS.

        Ned W,

I have no advise for your battery problem, but am interested in what you find is causing this problem. Please keep posting what you are doing and what you find when you open the battery.

I put a bit of charge in , 52v, and checked each cell.
One cell reads 3.2v and all others read 4v.
