BBS02 battery indicator flashes empty and motor power is lost.

I purchased the BBS02 kit with the 48V shark battery at then end of the last summer. The battery has about 30 cycles on it and the motor cuts out intermittently. so far I have been able to turn the display off and on and the bike will start working again but I do not want to be left stranded. The kit has the standard black and white display and the battery indicator indicates the batter is dead. The issue however, is that the battery is fully charged (reads 54 vdc on my multi meter). As a test I hooked up my multi meter and drove it up a pretty steep hill and watched the voltage drop from 54 vdc to around 49 vdc which I don't think is all that much of a voltage drop.

Hi I have only finished my build and run into my own problems. But I noticed my display doing that And it turned out loose wire coming out the battery to the connectors . I never soldered just crimped them It still kept the display on but the sparks was making the display read empty battery
