Bafang display is on but motor is not moving ?

Is the BBSHD That easy to break if you put it under this sort of load ? Wrong gear starting on a slight hill

If it’s not the battery then I think it was the first hill I came across I’m not going to treat it like a motor bike from what I read but treat it like a bike . I think i might of been in wrong gear and just hit thumb throttle

it’s a hard lesson to learn. Once I get it working Do you think I should turn off pedal assist and just use thumb throttle once I have moved off. that way I will know I’m in wrong gear. Or take off thumb throttle and only leave power assist ?

Using ONLY the pedal assist in the proper gear puts less stress on the controller. So yes, take the throttle off and use only the pedal assist like you are riding a bicycle without it. Sounds like you burned out the controller. The only way to check that that I know of is to install a known good controller and see if it works again. Your symptoms are the same as mine when I had a controller go out on a BBS02 I bought from China on eBay. It was supposed to have the newer mofits controller, but I do wonder if it did sense it failed.

Expensive lesson if it’s the controller and I noticed their prices have increased lately too.

The faint click has been reported regarding bad controllers.

The seller is saying faulty cable I will let yu know if it fixes it. But I’m sure it’s the controller with the faint click noise

Multimeter shows 53.6 v on battery. And similar from charger. So it’s looking like controller? Faint click from motor when pressing throttle. All you tube videos point to controller blown mosfets? Display is on and no pedal assist

Thanks for taking the time to write that. I am still waiting on a volt meter. l I’m charging the battery longer than the only 4 hours it’s had just Incase too

Hi I have a 750w midrive Bafang I got the battery yesterday (second hand )hooked it up in I got 4 mile out of it then the battery died I think ? Do ebike just cut out all of a sudden ? Wen the battery is low ?

If the battery voltage falls below the controllers low voltage cut-out it will shut down.

display is still on and the display says full battery . I can’t get the middrive to move but the display still works It did spark bad when I went to charge it I put the wire charger into the battery first then plugged it in ( not sure if that is the problem )

Always plug the charger into the wall outlet first to charge the chargers capacitors and provide a more closer voltage difference between battery and charger.

Im getting a green light on the charger after a 2 hour charge (tried the light bulb test on the battery and the charger both lighting up . Could it be the battery is just not charging on the very first charge ?

Since you don't know for sure how the battery was treaded previously, perhaps the cells were allowed to get out of balance. With a good charger, set to 100%. Let the battery charge in a safe place at least overnight and perhaps longer.

I have disconected the break lines Incase it was that. I have disconnect the bsm and reconnected I have did the light bulb test on the charger and the bulb is lighting up. The charger light stays green . Thanks for any help.
