1000 miles on my ebike after ditching the car

Last summer I built an ebike from Luna and made the big decision to get rid of my car. I just passed 1000 miles commuting on my ebike and haven't looked back. I had very little experience with bikes beforehand, but found a ton of resources online and was able to put it all together. It wasn't overly difficult, but did require some patience and tools.

Huge thanks to the Luna team for making ebikes affordable and accessible to so many people. And thanks to the many folks on this forum that provided so many helpful posts. It really has changed my life.

For those that are on the fence about jumping all in on ebikes and thinking of going carless, hopefully a success story helps out. I highly recommend it!

Congrats on your successful build (particular if you came into it with limited bike experience!), and the fact that you're making it work for a car substitute. Not a lot of folks can say that!

Thanks! Yeah I was definitely a bit nervous about jumping into it, but I'm sure glad I did. Ebikes could definitely be part of the future of transportation.
