The only flat I had was a failed brand new inner tube. I'm running the Stan's Notubes type sealant inside the tube also. I haven't had a flat.It would take an object 1/2 inch long, and then a hole big enough to defeat the tubeless tire sealant in the tube. There is supposed to be some run flat ability with them. I wasn't very impressed with it. The broken glass, and steel cord tire wires that ere causing flats before don't seem to be an issue any more.

Retrorockit, hopefully, you haven't had the "pleasure" with the safeguards in place, but what's it like fixing a rear flat with the Tannus liner?

Schwalbe gave me a 50% coupon for the lumpy tires. I picked up some of the Ebike rated Big Ben w/o th extra flat protection layers. i'm running tubeless sealnt in the fornt tube, and a Tannus liner in the rear. The Strn's and tannus are working well togther, and the Schwalbe flat prevention not so much. The lighter tires will get the tire weight bacjkdown to where it was before.

Bottom line here is that by careful selection of Schwalbe tires that don't have flat protection you can make up for the weight of a rear Tannus liner, and have better ride handling and flat protection, with no loss in acceleration. Schwalbe Tires NA has all the weight, tread compound and Ebike ratings listed.Only the Black Big Ben tires have all the features of the Big Ben Plus, without the heavy flat protection that isn't as good as Stan's in the tubes, and a rear Tannus liner.

Maybe MLK day Wheels Up Guns Down would interest you. The police started confiscating the dirtbikes and quads, so now it's a bicycle event. They ride I-95 enmasse and block traffic.
My brother used to commute Miami, he moved to NYC where it's safer.
Or maybe the Tuesday night Critical Mass rides. Hordes of cyclist form a peloton at night and ride all over the place. One car backed out of a driveway in front of them. 23 of them hit the same car.
One guy here had 3 Ebikes stolen last Dec. 2 at once off his yacht while he was sleeping on it. This was FTL not Miami.

Don't feel bad most of the bikes in Miami have been stolen twice.
It's almost a form of bike share.

Yep rode it until the slow leaking tires went flat, dumped it, then stole another one.

I updated the Tannus Tire Liner thread in DIY Forum and added some info about the weight of various flat resistant tires Vs. the Tannus liners.
I ordered a couple of these for my bike. Kind of like pool noodles made for bike tires. 15mm thick which with Scwalbe Big Ben Plus e bike tires=20mm flat protection.. They claim smoother ride, better grip, and some run flat capability. I didn't watch any Youtube , I just dived right in like an average bicycle enthusiast As

Schwalbe wouldn't accept an Email without attaching 2 pictures of each tire. I finally phoned them. They didn't want the tires back because they had been mounted, but they did issue a credit towards my next purchase with them.I'll donate these to a thrift store, and feel bad even about doing that to someone's bike. I really wanted to see what their high speed E bike tread compound had to offer. I purchased a set of Conti Contact Plus moped rated tires of the same size. Since Conitnental makes sports car and MC tires I'll assume a suitable rubber compound was available.

Schwalbe is having a sale on Ebike tires
Scwhalbe NA has 20% off of their Ebike tires. Only applies to tires in stock. Avoid the Energizer Plus. It isn't round. I posted on this in Commuter Tire thread. For fast E bikes I set the filter for Ebike/E50 rating. This is the EU, ECE75 50kph Moped (Pedelec) rating. These will be certified for 30mph safety and performance.

I tried direct from Schwalbe NA. I usually use online vendors. My LBS guys don't carry the Moped rated tires I want. No reason why they would.

You bought direct from them? I think all the tires I have bought new have come from a local shop and if I had an issue I would expect to be able to take it back to them.

Schwalbe NA is a PITA to return anything to. i still have the crap HS492 tires. I got a set of Continental 26x1.75 Contact Plus tires. These are also Euro ECE75 Moped rated. I know Conti's automotive tires have some seriously good rubber compounds. I also know that they are very slick when new unless you wash the mold release compound off of them first.
I was running Michelin Pilots on my Turbo PT Cruiser and went to Conti and never looked back. Maybe the same thing with Schwalbe on the bikes.
